Research Summary My research focuses on ecology and society, broadly defined, and employs an interdisciplinary approach to nature—society interactions to examine global and local sustainability. I am especially interested in the intersection of spatial inequality, race, environmental degradation, and social movements. Current projects analyze the .

I am also conducting research that examines sub-national (local, regional) sustainability dynamics surrounding disasters, waste, and the environmental injustice incurred by individuals residing in toxic environments.
